Je commençais cette séance de contrôle par une petite remarque : « Aujourd’hui je voudrais contrôler le cas d’un garçon de 9 ans, c’est “un enfant terrible”, mais je l’aime bien, je voudrais bien que ça bouge pour lui. » Le contrôleur immédiatement assène : « Il n’y a rien de plus méchant que de vouloir le bien de ces patients ! » Il se lève et ouvre la porte sans un mot.
Cette phrase a fait interprétation, elle visait la position même d’écoute, elle va toucher le fantasme au-delà du contrôle. Le contrôle se noue alors avec l’analyse et vient ouvrir sur le fait que la formation de l’analyste, c’est d’abord sa propre analyse, pas sans le contrôle. Au-delà du raisonnement, elle se fait résonance. Ce fut un avant après, autant dans ma pratique que dans mon analyse. De ce contrôle, il reste une trace, une marque dans le corps, sorte de repère qui continue toujours de m’orienter.
Il est très important de se souvenir du rhinocéros que l’on a été pour ne pas oublier le rhinocéros que l’on est et que l’on sera toujours.

I began this supervision session with a little remark: “Today I'd like to supervise the case of a 9-year-old boy. He's “a terrible child”, but I like him, I would like to see things moving for him”. The supervisor immediately flings back at me: “There's nothing nastier than wanting what's good for these patients!” He gets up and opens the door without a word.
This sentence was an interpretation; it was aimed at the very position of listening; and it was going to touch the fantasy beyond the supervision. Supervision is thus knotted with the analysis and opens onto the fact that the analyst's formation is first and foremost his own analysis, not without supervision. Beyond reasoning, it becomes resonance. It was a before and an after, as much in my practice as in my analysis. A trace of this supervision remains, a mark on the body, a kind of reference point that continues to orient me.
It is very important to remember the rhinoceros you once were, so that you don't forget the rhinoceros that you are and always will be.
