Stupéfaction
Début des années soixante-dix. Fraîchement diplômée et enchantée d’avoir été admise comme psychologue thérapeute dans un prestigieux lieu institutionnel orienté pas la psychanalyse, je reçois des adultes.
Une jeune femme m’est confiée en traitement. Tout commence très bien. Elle s’engage d’emblée et ne manque jamais un rendez-vous. Au bout d’un an, la situation se renverse. Elle pleure sans arrêt et me fait des griefs : j’ai ruiné sa vie méchamment et sciemment. Stupéfaite, je reçois ses reproches et attends en silence que les cinquante minutes consacrées s’écoulent. Je fais un contrôle et m’entends dire « Vous n’avez pas interprété l’Œdipe ! » Je n’avais fait rien d’autre que cela !
J’ai alors compris que la psychanalyse, c’est autre chose, qu’il me fallait aller ailleurs pour me former. Élucider le déclenchement d’une paranoïa sous transfert demande en effet la prise en compte de la structure et la dimension de la jouissance, entre autres.
Cette jeune femme m’a poussée vers la sortie. Direction Paris.

Stunned
It is the early seventies. Freshly qualified and delighted to have been admitted as a psychologist-therapist in a prestigious institution oriented by psychoanalysis, I was seeing adults.
A young woman was entrusted to me for treatment. Everything began very well. She was committed from the outset and never missed an appointment. After a year, the situation changed. She cried non-stop and complained that I had maliciously and knowingly ruined her life. Stunned, I listen to her reproaches and wait in silence for the fifty minutes to pass. I go to supervision and hear them say, “You haven't interpreted the Oedipus!” I had done nothing but that!
I thus understood that psychoanalysis was something else, and that I had to go elsewhere to learn. Elucidating the triggering of a paranoia under transference requires taking into account the structure and the dimension of jouissance, among other things.
This young woman pushed me towards the exit. Direction Paris.
